GUERNICA, THE ONCE PEACEFUL CITY
The section that really stands out to me is on the left hand side because of the woman crying up to the sky for her child's death. The man dying also stands out because he takes a lot of room in the painting. I think that it was to show that a lot of the population got destroyed. I think that the big head sticking out the window is to show that the person is in refuge and was quite surprised to see what was outside his/her window. With the person on the right hand side, I think Picasso is showing that there is so much pressure on the people, and they're all getting hurt or killed.

EBOO PATEL: FIGHTING FOR UNDERSTANDING
Growing up in Chicago, Eboo Patel refused to learn the Indian language and Indian cooking because he wanted to fit in with the white people. He questions his father "Why didn't we move in the place with more Asians?". I think that Patel wanted equality with all the white people. He is the opposite of Jesus Colon because he kept the racial groups the way it is, while Patel is trying to get equal with the white people. I believe that all humans are created equal. No matter what size, gender, nationality, social class, God created all of us equally

MUSIC CAN HELP OVERCOME INJUSTICE
Thxa Soe is a hip-hop singer that questions the government. I think that music is a very important way to make teenagers aware of all the injustices happening all over the world. Most teenagers listen to Hip-Hop music, excluding me, and maybe if a famous hip-hop artist can translate one of Thxa Soe's song, then more and more people will know about the things that the Burmese government are doing to oppress their people. This then will bring more oppression to the government, which will then be too much for them to handle, and maybe they can finally set Burma free again.

THE JOURNEY TO FORGIVENESS
Fatmire Feka is a girl that is originated from Kosovo, a place that was invaded by Serbians in 1999. She was 11 when her brother and sister went missing after they tried to find a safe place to hide in. She was wounded by the experience of war in her village and it getting burned down. She was 11 when she started the "Kids for Peace" organization. Everyone assumed that she forgave the ones that caused her pain. But she asks "Why should we forgive who gave us pain?"
Ever since she started the "Kids for Peace" organization, the media is asking her if she forgave. She never forgave because she doesn't know what happened to her brother and sister, and who to forgive. Like she said, forgiveness is a progress that won't take a day to complete. It heals over time, just like a wound.

HAPPINESS IS A WAY OF LIFE
This song shows the ways to achieve an ideal life. This song is a soundtrack for a movie "Laskar Pelangi". The movie is about children in Indonesia who can't afford to go to a proper school and the song explains the way to reach an ideal life is by happiness.
The song is a soundtrack for the movie "Laskar Pelangi"which is about children in Indonesia that can't afford to go to school, and they were thankful for what they have and they were happy. It also says "Maybe life is unfair, but love completes us" I think that this statement is true because maybe you're upset with something, but someone would probably listen to your problems. It also says to fill the earth with all your dreams. Sure, it might not all come true, but one probably will.

A FLIGHT TO FREEDOM
This graffiti is a work of Banksy and it kind of shows freedom. This particular work makes me think that maybe the girl is holding onto the balloons for freedom. It was as if she were flying away from trouble and holding onto freedom. I think that this graffiti is in a very tall wall somewhere and I think that the message is to break down this wall so the communities won't be separated.
Banksy is a British graffiti artist.
See his work here.
